International NGOs that fulfill the following criteria may request admission to the LHIF:
  • Registered as a non-governmental organization in a foreign country;
  • Registered in Lebanon or in process of registration;
  • Signatory to the Code of Conduct of the Red Cross/Red Crescent movement and NGOs in disaster relief;
  • Signatory to the Lebanon PSEA SOP
  • Operational in humanitarian sectors in Lebanon; and
  • Currently implementing projects in Lebanon.
Should you wish to join, please submit an application form and two written references from current LHIF members followed by a formal written request to the LHIF Coordinator ( detailing the following information:
  • Country of foreign/HQ registration and registration status in Lebanon
  • Confirmation of signatory status to ICRC CoC
  • Confirmation of signatory status to Lebanon PSEA SOP
  • Geographical coverage in Lebanon (location of field offices and projects)
  • Sectors of activity in Lebanon
  • Active projects over the past 6 months and projected for coming year & funding
  • Estimated number of beneficiaries
Application for admission to the LHIF shall be confirmed by securing two-thirds of current LHIF members.
The annual tiered fee for membership is based on the member’s budget.
LHIF is generously funded by the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration - US Department of State (BPRM) and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
